Monday– Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater

How you can participate: Do you remember the rhyme Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater? If so, tell it to your child.

Books – The Little Scarecrow Boy (Amazon)

Art – Thumbkin Patch
Math – Pumpkin Measuring
Music – The Scary Song

Tuesday– Halloween Carnival

How you can participate: Have your child wear their costume to school for our Halloween Carnival.  Please send a change of clothes if you want them to change after.

Books – It’s Fall
Action – Instruments or Rhythm Sticks
Art – Gauze Mummies
Gross Motor – Spider Web Walk
Music – Shapes

Wednesday – Corning Around 

How you can participate: Have your child make a corn cob print by dipping corn on the cob in paint and rolling it on paper.  Your child will be so proud!  J

Action – Parachute with Popcorn
Art – Corn on the cob painting
Science – Corn Taste Test
Music – A Spider on the Floor

Thursday- Opposite Day: In/Out

How you can participate: Before coming to school, talk with your child about items in the house and out of the house. Have them tell you other opposites they remember from school.

Books – Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn
Action – Body Triangles
Art – Orange Magic
Science – Pumpkin Investigation
Music – Jimmy Crack Corn

Friday– 5 Little Pumpkins

How you can participate: Paint and decorate a mini pumpkin at home.

Books – 5 Little Pumpkins
Rhyme – Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater
Art – 5 pumpkins on a gate
Science – Pumpkin experience (5 senses)
Music – Pumpkins
