Monday – Letter B

How you can participate: Help your child to name words that start with the letter B. (banana, ball, bear…).

Books – Bear Snores On!
Phonics – “B says b,b,b,b,b,b,bear….I have a coat made of hair”
Art – Bear Puppets
Science – Gummy Bear Experiment
Music – Bean Bag Boogie

Tuesday – Math: Large/Medium/Small

How you can participate: Have your child find 3 similar items that are different sizes: small, medium and large at home.

Books – Every Autumn Comes the Bear (Amazon)
Action – Magic Blanket with sm/med/lg items
Art- Small, Medium, Large Prints
Math/Science – Charting and Sorting items that are small, medium and large
Music – Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Wednesday- Brown Bear, Brown Bear

How you can participate: Wherever you are, play “I Spy” (something that starts with the sound of “B”) with your child.

Books – Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See
Phonics – “B says b,b,b,b,b,b,bear….I have a coat made of hair”
Art – Fork Bear
Math – Patterns/Sequence
Music – BBB Bounce your knees

Thursday – Goldilocks

How you can participate: Retell the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears to your child, from memory.

Music – Hokey Pokey

Friday – Teddy Bear Day

How you can participate: Bring a small stuff animal teddy bear to school.  Sing the Song Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear with your child. (link here)
