Monkey business!
- Monday: Color Day – Amarillo! Let’s shine bright in yellow! Wear your favorite yellow outfit or your Sunshine House T-shirt. We’ll explore different shades of yellow and learn about the color through art and sensory play.
- Tuesday: Going Bananas! Tasting Party Get ready for a tropical taste sensation! We’ll sample various banana treats like banana bread, banana chips, and even frozen bananas, yum!
- Wednesday: Opposite Day – High/Low Let’s flip things around! We’ll explore opposites through songs, games, and stories.
- Thursday: 5 Little Monkeys Day Join us for monkey madness as we count backward with the classic song. We’ll also engage in monkey-themed activities like jungle gym play and banana crafts.
- Friday: Marvin the Ape Day Let’s meet Marvin the Ape! We’ll read stories, sing songs, and learn about apes.
Parent Tips: Point out yellow objects in your environment and discuss the color with your child. Introduce your child to different banana-based foods at home. Play opposite games with your child, like “big/small” or “hot/cold.” Sing the “5 Little Monkeys” song with your child at home.
